Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Billy M, thanks, i wasnt suggesting the pilot bottled it, far from it, just pointing out that flights were still operating. I assume, as you say, he or she wasnt in the safe operational. limits for their plane, the 22 hours wasnt great but others had worse i believe.

Having said that it looks like i have jinxed myself, weather for chambery on sunday is now forecast to be light snow with moderate to heavy snow in the Courchevel area. Looks like Sunday is going to be interesting......

I've been successfully in and out of Innsbruck airport 7 times in Winter and twice in Summer.

Once in Jan 2012 our SkiTotal Monarch charter was diverted to Friedrichshafen The decision was taken for operational reasons by the TO the night before due to the possibility of adverse weather causing disruption the following day.

As it happens, Innsbruck airport was operational on the day...too late for us and our 7 hour transfer through the snowbound Arlberg, past Innsbruck and over the Brenner to Arabba in the Dolomites!! Sad
