I can confirm that ski wear is now present in the Epsom branch of TK Maxx. Usual Surfanic/Trespass offerings in usual sizes, with some higher end brands XS and XL and over, as per ususal.

Some nice Dr Zipe goggs for the girlz/small faced men if you don't mind wearing something called the Escort Mk VI on your visage ( not named after Dagenham's finest I fear)

I can confirm that Uxbridge TKMaxx is currently stocking almost no ski gear at all, presumably because someone at their head office has actually been to Uxbridge and knows there is almost zero market for ski gear.

The Cambridge store has some stuff as well: usual suspects but also Westbeach, sypder, Bonfire and even a 2 pair of DC BOA snowboard boots..

I popped into the Covent Garden store today (probably not the best place to look for winter kit, but I was passing...). As above, usual suspects plus a few bonfire and Westbeach items, a couple of Patagonia puffer jackets (but didn't look ski-focused), and some quite nice looking Adidas gor-text Pro shell salopettes. Sadly the latter weren't in the right size (38 and 40 inch waist available).

I've seen those Adidas pants, there's a lack of insulation, what would one wear with them?

Brighton store has ski outerwear and a few pairs of children's gloves. Couldn't find anything else though (eg base layers, socks, goggles).

Just picked up a spyder 'expanse' top in the elgin branch for £24.99 and a pair of spyder gloves for £14.99. It would have been rude not to. Quite a few spyder items still in stock (hats, gloves, tops) if anyone fancies a bargain.

Several TK stores in Coventry/Warwickshire area have a few items. Trespass in Coventry town centre has a closing down sale if you want their gear. It's decent entry level.
Shops now loading up with Christmas signs and merchandise. Which means not long until Xmas and the New Year ski holiday. Soooooooo excited.

London City (Gracechurch Street) has a few bits and pieces but not very inspiring. I was hoping for some decent gloves having had to use black nasty to patch up my current Reusch ones that came from TKM several years ago but nothing of that quality in evidence.

They had some nice looking Adidas Gore-Tex pants but I could only get then half way up my thighs. Those Germans must be very skinny.

Thanks for flagging this, just been into Aylesbury and bought 2 Carrera helmets for the kids
Nearly bought a Spyder jacket for me (£129) but decided it was a bit gratuitous given there's nothing wrong with my current jacket

@PaulC1984,
To be fair, some of Spyder's very latest gear is quite nice
The problem being that the proliferation of chinese knock off awful gawdy 90's designed jackets and dodgy looking Eastern European wearers have ruined the marque.

Saw some "Mountain Force" ski pants in the local Maxx for £70. Never heard of them so didn't bother trying them on, since done a little research and it seems they're RRP is £350.
Anyone ever heard of them and are they any good? I've mostly seen them sold on US online retailers.

@PaulC1984, I'll pop in tomorrow and check. Didn't pay much attention as we were looking for something cheap and cheerful to get my partner going with the sport/hobby/financial drain. I'll let you know.

It's alright Spyder became socially acceptable again once Dav started wearing it. Still takes a bit of front to carry off the Martin Kemp shiny shoulder pad look though.

@glasgowcyclops, I missed the post on the other page. I might buy a pair then. That said I pulled the trigger in a pair of Haglofs off sportpursuit last night. Can't hurt to have two decent pairs can it!?
