The snow has returned these days, not for long, but the winter approaches day by day.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
No - it's all melted off - doesn't tend to stick about at this time of year. Worth packing your woolly hat and waterproofs just in case, of course!

First reliable snow today. The snow level is about 1800m by now, but the real level during the episode was at 2400m. Total precipitation amounts are between 100 and 200mm in the main Central Range, so the principal massifs are well coverend under more than 100cm of fresh snow above 2400m!!

You know it makes sense.
about 100mm in Seturia (Pal), but with snowlevel at 2400m

So 100mm converts roughly to 100cm as snow!!! Wow!

Yep but, the snow starts when the lift end jeje.

Today is snowing again, with lower freezing levels...so the snow is falling above 1400-1500m.

Snowing here on the tops above Bareges - I'd guess the snowline is below 2000m. Looks very weird with all the leaves still on the trees (Autumn colours and snowcapped peaks - nice!)

Respumoso: 110cm
Pic du Midi_ more than a meter of snow
Cauterets: 90cm
Ax: 80cm
Gavarnie: 70cm

And lots of places with 40-50cm....the snow is still falling, and it will fall all the night.
Maybe tomorrow we will have places with more than 150cm of fresh snow Shocked Shocked Shocked

Cerler town now, (note that is south side, and the disturbance comes from the north, so normally don't snow at this shape in this place with northern winds)
