george, Snowboard Lodge (www.snowboardlodge.com).............i've not done a season before and i've never stayed there but all i've heard/read has been negative, haven't they just changed their name as well?????? Seems quite a coincidence with the bad press i've read. Check out http://www.adrenalintrip.net/forums/viewforum.php?siteid=1&topicdays=45&forum=1&54050 and search for them. You'll find lots of interesting posts about them.
Obviously make your own decision
Also might be worth trying www.natives.co.uk

Hi George,
It just so happens that I'm looking for someone to job share with and the deal is a pretty brilliant way to do a cheap season.
Last Winter I spent a season (early December to early May) in Val Thorens and while there found work at a small family run hotel. They offered me a very good deal for this upcoming season however I need an extra person to share a room (and a job). We would be sharing one full time job between us and receiving free accommodation, two meals a day, ski/board hire, use of household amenities i.e. washing machine and TV, and we would get 450 Euros a month plus tips. On average we would do 22 hours a week and regardless of when you are working you will be able to get on the slopes every day and into the bars every night. No French speaking or watering experience is necessary though obviously if you can put a bit of a French sentence together it would help, carrying plates is easy! That said my French is awful and I managed fine all last season, mainly due to the fact that most of the clients were British or Scandinavian. The room we would be sharing is pretty small but if we're only using it to sleep in then it should be OK.
If your interested then contact me at shmounal@hotmail.com
