Im not sure about this exact top. But i have Aldi merino long johns and a mid layer top. I also have the Icebreaker version of each. I alternate the days I wear them, and never noticed a difference!
I always check out the sale areas for merino stuff, got the top for £7.99 and the bottoms were £9.99!

I prefer the fit of the Aldi stuff to that of my one pair of Icebreaker thermals.

Im a real brand snob, loving my icebreaker and ortovox stuff. Bought the wife some of the Aldi and TKMaxx stuff last year, and I have to concede that hers is just as good. I don't think it will last quite as long, but for the 2 weeks a year its excellent value!!!

excellent, will try and pop along to one on Thursday.
Got a merino t shirt last year for £15 and it's just as good as an Icebreaker one- in fact is a slightly better fit.

Ive been using Aldis thermals for the last two years.
Got to say they are as good as any ive had in the past 20 years. Amazing value.
Thanks for the heads up about these.

Noticed that TK Maxx had a couple fo snowsports rails up and populated with the usual selection of Surfanic and Quicksilver gear spotted with a couple of other higher end brands in weird sizes - XS mens Mammut pants in white anyone?

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Just purchased: Merino mid layer is brill, identical to my Icebreaker one.
Size medium for the above is perfect, but warning that the base-layer medium was very tight so changed to a large, which is still a "good" fit

@geoffers, picked some base layers and a mid layer myself, even though they are marketed in the 'cycling' range the packaging just says 'sports' so no doubt will be identical to the ski ones when they come about. I have the exact design of icebreaker top which they clearly took off so with both being new i will wear equally all season just to see how they compare! That said, was half tempted to take the icebreaker back!

You know it makes sense.

I think the aldi one feels slightly itchier - time will tell
