There was about a foot of powder on the glacier this afternoon, with no wind and the sun just breaking through enough to give some definition it wasn't a bad day. It is still snowing just as hard but the wind is getting up a bit more now.

thefatcontroller, yay, you're cheering me up no end, only 6 days until our trip to Les Boisses! Enjoying your reports about learning to board too, I tried a boarding lesson at MK back in Summer and can fully appreciate now the pain learner boarders have to endure. Keep at it, good luck!

Are you looking on Metcheck as they seem to have a problem at the moment. The forecast seems to be for the beginning of November! Hopefully that's why the temps are being forecast as higher.

How many of the lifts are open at the moment anyone? coming on the 14th will we be able to ski all the runs by then??

jakemanc, Go to www.tignes.net and look at the lift map.. shows you what is open. Looking good at the moment !

the Espace Killy is, officially, fully open. just about every lift working yesterday (despite the dumping  ), but most of them were closed on Sunday due to wind. conditions in the next couple of weeks shoiuld be epic.
watch out for avalanches if you want to go off piste, though, as prior to the dump yesterday off-piste had a hard crust about an inch think on top, so there will be pow on crust on pow in coming days...
