Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

It looks like we might be off to Baqueira over Christmas, staying with Ski Miquel at their Chalet Hotel Salana.

But browsing the Ski Miquel site, it's unclear exactly were in Baqueira the chalet is! Anyone been?

It would be really helpful if someone can describe where it is, ideally on the map at http://www.baqueira.es/aran-aneu/nucleo-1500.php which shows the village.

It's very well located. It's more or less where the number "7" is to indicate the Multipropriedad. Exit the lifts, walk downhill for 100 yards, follow the road off to the right back up hill for 100 yards past the Multipropriedad (apartment block) and it's on your right. Quite a nice place to stay - we were there for christmas in 2000 I think? Checks list - yep, Xmas 2000, returning 31st Dec 2000. Unusually there was no snow at resort level, but there was plenty higher up and it PUKED on our last day, we got stuck at the far end of the resort and had to wait till the road was cleared so they could ferry us back down the valley as the blizzard shut the resort. Lots of armed policemen as well as the king was due to arrive the day we left
