Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Going on the train next week. Thought we'd drive to
Ashford
and get the train from there rather than mess around with all the tube changes in London.
Looks like the parking costs are going to be rather heavy - £92 - (£69 per week plus £11.50 per day for the two additional days)
Anyone got any ideas on how to reduce these costs?

, It was a long while ago but it used to be a lot cheaper to park at the outdoors commuters station car park which is the other side of the station.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

, thanks.
Actually, I think I've answered my own question but I'll leave it up here in case anyone else finds themselves in the same situation.
Premier Inn
Ashford
Central allow free parking and you don't even have to book a room. All they ask is a donation to their charity. When I asked how much people usually donate, they suggested that £20 would be considered generous.
Taxi fares from the hotel to station are £5 each way, so that is a huge saving.

, thanks, top tip. I've parked at
Ashford
International a couple of times, although only for short breaks. On other occasions the cost of parking there for a week has meant I took the train into London. Now I have another option.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Now you are saving £82 you have to ask yourself how generous you are feeling
