Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I know I'm a bit of a lone voice here, but.....
Skiing that line must have taken a lot of bravery and skill. To ski that line is quite an achievement, and not something I could ever do in a million years, but...... it was the slowest, most tedious video I have seen in many a year. Sorry.

I often wonder what they do about avvy risk when they tackle something like that. Surely the slope can't have more than a visual assessment from some distance away, and maybe some idea of historical snow fall. How can they be reasonably certain that they won't trigger something on the way down?

I suppose they get some ideas of the snowpack on the way up. You'll often read these guys blogs and they'll head off to do some line and then change plans after a bit of climbing on it. Sometimes they also rope up at the top when breaking through cornices and the like. Must be an element of it which is just left to chance though unfortunately and the first guy mightn't always be very happy about it!

The Euro headband steeze in the high mountains still amazes me.
