Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Heavy snow warning for Cascades Mountains, NW USA

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Further US ski terrain will open for the winter this weekend, with the Pacific NW ski areas looking to gain the most from unusually heavy autumn snows.

The Cascades Mountains, Washington State, are expecting very heavy snow. Stevens Pass, a relatively high ski area in that region, reckons on 4 to 5 feet of new snow by early next week. Crystal Mountain is also set to open.

These ski areas had an exceptionally poor 2004-5 winter, including heavy rain and wash-outs, so they will be wishing to cash in on the new snow as soon as possible.

This report from Herald Net.

If anyone 'on the ground' would like to report back on the early sliding experiences of 2005-6, this would be interesting!

Morning sports fans,

Currently in Seattle, and although cliched, am very sleepless.

Arrived just before midnight yesterday (7th), and should have been on the road to Mt Baker, Washington for opening day as I write.

Unfortunately, the good people at Northwest felt that my bags deserved an extra day holiday in Amsterdam.

They're due to arrive sometime this afternoon, so hopng I can make Stevens Pass opening day tomorrow.

Will post info if I get after it.
