Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Good ski repair shops in or close to London for major surgery

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi All,

A nasty bunch of hidden rocks attacked my 4 day old pow skis on the weekend and as a result I have a cracked sidewall under the foot area and a big core shot. I am not sure if the ski is repairable or not but would like to take it in for assessment to a recommended repair shop that does major ski repairs. I know sidewalls can be fixed but I am not sure if the core itself hasnt been smashed to bits around the impact area. I would like to keep the skis if poss hence call for good repair shops.

Any suggestions advice would be welcome

Cheers
Brent

Make that x 3. Did a lovely patch in a core-shot right on the edge just last week for me. Great shop, great service.

Not sure I'd trust anyone with a scalpel (or even a bandage) in one of those places. If you're talking about open heart surgery etc., I'd look at a London teaching hospital.

I'd still go for Bartletts. Courier each way is a PITA.

I'd go for Bartletts, because that's where I'd courier them to if I didn't live a few miles down the road.

Another vote for Bartletts. Make sure you speak to Graham (the boss). I'm sure his staff are good, but he really knows his stuff.

If you've really trashed the sidewall you may be in trouble, but it is worth getting Graham to take a look.
