Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Germany won team event. Yawn. Nor can I believe it gets high TV ratings. Surely a Men's DH that decides the title would get better ratings.

Bode Swiller, it gets TV coverage and maybe an audience of occasional viewers who have no idea about the real races. It just happened to be running in the background here at home while I worked in another room, so I suppose I also contributed to the audience figures. Most importantly the sponsors get their product placing to a much wider audience. At the end of the day that does seem to be more important to the FIS these days than skier safety or health. I sincerely hope that this does not replace the Super Combined at the next Olympics.

This is a completely senseless competition that sees skiers injured just about every time it takes place. Today it was the turn of Niki Hosp, luckily it seems that reports of a dislocated shoulder were based on an early pessimistic diagnosis. The hospital investigations (MRI, CT scan and x-rays have pointed to bruising and a small muscle tear near the rotor cuff. She is intending to take part in the weekend races, weather permitting of course!

Interesting to see who was NOT taking part, especially from the Austrian team who won this event at the recent World Championships in Schladming. rolling eyes

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Belated congratulations to Mikaela Shiffrin for winning the slalom globe. She had a phenomenal second run! I think that if Mikaela stays healthy she will be the true successor to Annemarie Moser-Proell. Mikaela is better than Lindsey Vonn was at her age and she keeps getting better. It's only a matter of time before she starts getting podiums in GS.
