 Poster: A snowHead

We've had a bit of snow in Mid Wales today but nothing that has stuck. However, a guy at my work reckoned that the A470 was closed at Storey Arms becuase of snow, anyone know if this is true? It's my day off on Wednesday and if there's any snow I fancy a trek up Pen Y Fan!
So, anyone near the Beacons know the conditions?

Not currently near Brecon but going on past experience it will be cold, wet and miserable regardless of what the weather is doing in the rest of the UK. Although that is no reason not to do a 'quick' Fan Dance.

No sign of snow this afternoon as I arrived home (I can see Pen y Fan from shortly before I arrive home).

airbornebadger, I've only been up there once but it wasn't wet or miserable! 21st of December 2010, and it wasn't even that cold either!

huw_jenks, Great photo, although as previously stated I am inclined to believe that 5 mins later it was pouring with rain  , did you manage to get ski touring in today?

airbornebadger, I didn't bother today sadly, the webcam image didn't show a lot of snow and as it's a 2 hour drive I didn't think it would really be worth it. I managed to do a few days skiing in Wales back in January, so that's probably my lot for this year!
