Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Help with skiing on wider skis

ski, I think you rather over egg that. Sure they'll never carve as easily as his Supersports but they are by no means a soft-snow specific ski. They have a pretty traditional shape with only a small amount of rocker on what is otherwise a pretty normal ski shape with quite a bit of sidecut, they aren't even that wide! If they were reverse-reverse and 125+ underfoot manageable on piste is what I'd expect. These should be pretty good with a bent towards freestyle stuff and fun off-piste.

Skiing a lot on reverse-reverse skis and then going back to a trad cambered ski is hilarious though. Very Happy

meh, I saw a Dane on a ski with huge camber so it only touched at tip and tail and these were hugely rocked, together with their about 150 width and 200 length; I asked what they were like on piste he replied challenging. Following him later so they provedI did not recognise the name on the ski and couldn't understand the technology.

I was fondling some in Japan but can't for the life of me justify buying them. I really want to know what the bevelled bases ski like.

meh, I dunno -- but coming from a piste specific 68mm up to 108mm is a big jump - even if 108 is not wide these days. What I was trying to suggest is to use the skis in the conditions that suit them better would be an easier way of coming to terms with them
