Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Great value dining in Courchevel

In Courchevel last weekend and had a cracking meal in Ku De Ta in Courchevel 1850 (just through the underpass in the town on the left). 18 EUR for Menu de Jour which was pate to start, grilled salmon and rice for main and then an apple torte. Bloody lovely.

Also had great food in Grand Lac heading towards Les Menuire. Cafe Gormonde at 6.5 EUR absolutely cracking value.

Just goes to show you can find it!!.....amazing value considering KuDeTa's location "en piste"

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

KuDeTa used to be Calicos, which was much better value for money if you fancied a nice pizza in a good location. With the new owners the lounge is now very lovely (loads of low, comfortable sofas, which are ideal for a coffee or a beer) but the menu has changed and is more expensive than it used to be.

Rastro near the centre of Meribel Mottaret is another good choice. Short walk from the piste (about 50m) with a varied menu and an invariable good plat du jour for about 11 euros. Back in the Courchevel valley I've always enjoyed a lovely pizza in Petite Auberge in 1650/Moriond. Couple of minutes walk from the snow front gets you first rate pizza in a lovely little restaurant for very reasonable prices.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I used to work for the Guys that had Calico, they also had Le Plein Soleil in Mottaret before taking on The Calico as well.
The only down side was the Manager, Rodney, right up his own arriss!
Oh the fun and games setting up the two places, talk about doing things on a budget....
