Poster: A snowHead

Hi, Other than Tignes, are there any other ski areas open at beginning of November in France (or maybe Norway - Rodal?). Travelling from Paris. Thanks.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

moosewurst, Les Deux Alpes opens for a weekend for the Mondial du Ski around that time. Think last year it was the end of October. Not sure when it will be 2013.

moosewurst, we were skiing in 7 Laux on Halloween last year. Quite a few 'smaller' resorts open a couple of lifts at that time of year if the snow permits. You just have to keep an ear to the ground nearer the time to see what's having a cheeky pre-ouverture. Nowhere's 'guaranteed' to be open so early, except glaciers. Even then, if there's been meagre snowfall, it could be a fairly grim experience skiing on some brown old ice. And resorts that are scheduled to be open, might be closed!
