Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'd love to go to Japan. A friend went this year and it looks fantastic.

That's snow depth, not what's fallen from the sky.

Over 15m has fallen at my place on Hokkaido.

That picture of them digging out the car - a woman and her three kids died in there of carbon monoxide poisoning - very sad

I got back from Japan last week (best trip of my life!), and the snow was just ridiculous. Waist deep powder, all day, every day! One day we went to a resort near Niseko (Chise Nopuri - God knows if I spelled that right) as the back bowls were closed, as we were heading back to the resort after skin up one of the mountain faces along a road (I use that term very loosely), our mountain guide was able to touch a road sign which is usually 6 metres up in the air with his hand! He'd been going there for a few days over the past six seasons and had never been able to do that before!

Jesus.. I had no idea that's what I was standing on! It's clearly been within reach before, but it's still a lot of snow!
