Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Last minute trip in March

Hi, a friend and I are hoping for a last minute skiing/boarding holiday 13/14th-19th March. Haven't got anything booked and was wondering if anyone has any advice as to where to look (region) or could recommend anywhere good to stay (hotel/chalet). We have both done a couple weeks skiing/boarding before and are looking to stay somewhere we can meet people/close to town so we can socialise. Were looking at Vert Hotel Chamonix but they haven't got back as to availability (and not surprisingly a lot of places are fully booked).

Any advise is much appreciated!

Tignes le lac, hotel Arbina, good snow, slopes and nice med priced hotel. Tignes isn't really a town more a moon station but look around and it has charm

katieb89, welcome to SHs. snowHead As that isn't a normal week you might have problems especially as the French holidays only end on 16th. Try Mountainsun in Tignes - they do transfers from Geneva which can otherwise add a lot of cost to a non-standard trip.

Does it have to be France?
Have a look at Austria. I have just got 4 star H/B with free access to to the spa in Bad Hofgastein for £500, with Crystal, leaving 16 March. Worth a look.
