Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Private Lesson - St Anton

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Heading to St Anton next week and I would be keen to get a 1 day private lesson.

I would consider myself almost expert level but I would like to spend a day early in my week holiday to hone a few on piste skills and perhaps get a few easy off piste runs in along the way.

Would anyone have any contact details of st anton instructors who would provide this kind of service?

Cheers!!

Bernhard Falch, ARLSKI.

I've not skied with Bernhard but have skied with a mountain guide in St Anton that he trained ....

When I bet Bernhard last month in St Anton, he said he tends to teach advanced / expert skiers who are still looking to improve their technique on and off the piste. Most of his business is from repeat customers. Bernhard has taught in the USA and New Zealand so his English is probably very good. (we spoke German)

I stayed at his pension which was very nice ...

There are 20 or so independent ski teachers in St Anton nowadays, not all have offpiste qualifications ...

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Any idea how much it would be for a 1 day individual lesson?

a18nmk,

I'm not sure, looking at the internet €40 to €90 per hour appears to be the normal rate for a fully qualified ski teacher. Having a second person in the group makes it a lot cheaper (maybe he has someone of a simlar standard and he could teach you together to keep the costs down). You could send him an email. You will probably get more out of 2 x 3 or 4 hours than one full day.
