Flying with Easyjet to Geneva, can you wear your helmet and take it onboard with you? Would they class as normal headwear?
Thanks

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Don't see why not, although you'd look like a nutter. I carry mine in my rucksack as hand luggage and I've seen others tie on their helmets to the outside of the rucksack.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Suppose if anyone asks you why you are wearing the helmet you can say you have a bad feeling about the flight!!
Mine goes in my rucksack.....no problems. I think it was grenoble airport where they don't allow them as hand luggage, but I was told you could not wear it during the flight.

Took ours through Grenoble twice, no problem. Think it must depend on what frame of mind they're in that day...

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Flew from Lyon to Heathrow the other day and had 2 clipped to my rucksack with no issues.

I once saw someone on a flight with a toddler and the toddler was in a car seat and wearing a polystyrene helmet. Poor kid must have had some brittle bone problem or some such.
However it does offer you a possible route to claiming medical necessity.

I've gone through Grenoble with my helmet attached to my rucksack. As above, how French security act depends on a) their mood and b) what nationality you are. If you go with a French person as I did you're more likely to get away with it .
