Honest question. Following all the threads on who's legit and insured, who's a cowboy, or just being bullied. What should a punter check for? Writing on a web page "fully licensed and insured " is obviously easy and cheap

Hi sugardaddy,
I don't know about travelling in other countries but, travelling in France probably the easiest things to check for are:
- the company SIRET and SIREN (to make sure that they are a legal company)
- professional insurance (to make sure that you are insured)
These are by no means the only things which they need to have, but are the easiest to verify for yourself and the insurance in particular is the thing which has the most potential to affect guests.
We recommend Cool Bus for our guests and I know that they are definitely 100% legal but I'm sure other snowheads use other companies so maybe we should make a list here. . . .

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

sugardaddy, I'd check to see if anyone has posted secret footage of their dealings with a transfer provider on YouTube before deciding
(sorry can't help with a serious response!)

queen bodecia, Check with Ben and Ange I think they have used both Habersätter and Hüber. The bus train option maybe cheaper and not so difficult when do you land?
Don't try the unlicensed lot that do the 10 Euro each way transfer to Eben though!

Samerberg Sue, thanks, will do. They are advertised on Radstadt tourist board website and €50 return sounds fair to me. Train is €19.60 each way. I land early afternoon on Tuesday 19th but the flight back is early doors on Sunday 24th so the train is not possible for the return.

fatbob, package holidays all the way for me and my normal gang of ski buddies but this year they have all wimped out, so I'm skiing with the fabulous snowheads in Ski Amadé. The UK TOs don't go there. I'm not completely left to my own devices because of the brilliant snowheads who live there.
