Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hello,

I'm going to grindelwald 3 weeks on friday.....

1. Do we need a car (staying at hotel bodmi) or will we be ok getting an xfer?
2. Can anyone recommend an off piste guide?
3. Any decent bars (4 couples, 2 with young kids 2 without!)
4. Any other useful knowledge?

Cheers

James

Bodmi is I think near the bottom of the First gondola

1.Easiest way around Switzerland is by public transport, unless you are scheduled to arrive at a very late hour that's what I'd use

2 and 3. Sorry not for Grindelwald but I think there are at least 2 snowheads who go to Grindelwad who might see this and know

4. Ski Bus in Grindelwald circulates around and is covered by ski pass handy for going from Gonola at Grund to Gondola at First with Railway Station Between

there are a number of good sled runs in the area

great apple friiters at the little restaurant at Brandegg on the run from Kleine Schiedegg to Grund

more info on Jungfrau region threads parts 1 (now archived) and 2 active

Off piste guide - talk to the tea club rep (whoops leader....) - there is a very good one they use for Thursday days out at Wengen but I cannot remember his name.
