On a big come down having just returned home from a fantastic week in Ischgl. The skiing was (really) good, but that was only a small part of the holiday. I'm sure many have said this already on here but I'll say it again - the nightlife there is totally Bonkers. It's Ibiza in the Alps. Schatzi best apres bar in the world? I'm trying desperately to re-create the good times that were had there every evening by playing L'Amour Toujours by Alex C right now at full volume. Can someone supply the dancing girls please??? Also some tips on how to return to the mundanity of the 9-5 next week.
Was it your first time? Its good isn't it. Six weeks today and I'll be there. Funnily enough the Schatzi's not my favourite, not enough cheese, much prefer the Kitzloch, Niki's Stadl and the Trofana Alm.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I want to go to Ischgl SO badly! (not for the dancing girls)

Went there 10 years ago with a big team, 15 couples......oh dear, we all got in a après ski tangle!! What a great week, never laughed so much, daren't go back, top place I just wouldn't get out of bed for skiing nowadays.
We had beers with Richard Branson at the Elizabeth (nuff said), a German skier fell asleep on my shoulder on a rope tow, partied hard, what a laugh!! Highly recommended.......skiing not half bad either!

I was there the other week. The ski area is one of my favourites and the piste conditions were good. The Schatzi was superb as ever, aside from a one of our boards getting nicked - be warned.
All the clubs are like an IT conference though, so if you're a single lady after some attention then head to Ischgl.
Whoop Whoop.
snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

Me too. There the same week as you. Delayed flight Saturday evening.
Tremendous apres! Really enjoyed it, and will be venturing back I suspect.
First time in Austria and absolutely amazed at the quality of the facilities on the slopes - spotless, warm toilets, hot water for hand washing, fab restaurants, heated seats on at least one of the lifts! And pull down covers on the majority of the others (the girls got a bit chilly....)!
We've skiied France mostly in the past (Italy last year, which was also excellent) and won't be rushing back!
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

We don't think it's actually legally required in Ischgl to try and drop the piece of pear from your Willians mit birne in to a friends beer, but we don't like to take any risks in the Kitzloch
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

You know it makes sense.

Well you're missing the Trofana Hotel bar for a start.
You won't be so welcome straight off the slopes (more smoking jacket than ski jacket) but if your having a more steady evening and want some quiet drinks before dinner a great choice.
