Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hotel Kaiser - Kitzbuhel

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Anyone been to the Hotel Kaiser in Kitzbuhel? I am going next week on a school trip and wondered whether anyone could give me info on its location etc? I have looked at maps but can't see exactly how far it is from the nearset lifts etc? Heard different things from different sources.

Cheers

Not been but Google places it at the train station and it looks to be described as budget backpackers accommodation. The Kitzbühlerhorn lift station is just round the corner from the train station from which the ring bus goes round town. Pretty sure there's a ski bus stop at the train station as well.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'm incompetent on an ipad so can't link a map for you. But if you google it Kaiser is on Bahnhofstrasse, the main lift station is on Hahnenkammstrasse and the lift for the Horn is on Hornweg.

Looks like a 10 min walk from the Horn lift and 20 min to Hahnenkamm, but probably longer in ski boots. There were lots of school trips when we were there, the kids learning seemed to spend most of their time on the Horn. They always seemed to be being bussed to wherever they were going by the coach that took them on the trip.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for your help guys. We should have our bus for the duration to move us about so that's good. I had heard ten mins to the nearest lift but didn't know if it was a 'just round the corner' ten mins or a real one. Can't work out if its a busy road though.

As a real town Kitz is relatively busy traffic wise. There is a faily main road to walk along or cross leading up to Hornweg.
