Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hands-free lift passes for the Trois Vallees this winter: further details emerge

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
snowHead stevew first broke the news last April that the Trois Vallees ski area of France is to have hands-free liftpasses from this winter. Further details have now emerged, and a report on www.ropeways.net makes the following points:

- The new lift pass has been named the ‘P@S’ which stands for Prêt à Skier, or ready-to-ski. It is sturdier than the old lift passes, looks like a credit card with a built-in chip, and it can be recharged. This P@S will cost 3€ extra.

- Liftpasses will be available either in person, by post, or on-line. No need to visit the ticket desk. The first lift taken will automatically validate the pass. Most passes will not require a photo.

- Passes will be insured by the lift company and can be replaced, with minor conditions.

- The option to buy passes via a tour operator rep remains.

Check the ropeways.net report for further information.

Any comments?

About bluddy time. Sorry, I meant congratulations 3V on yr first hands free card, well done. (About bluddy time).

Have been able to buy old-style 3V tx on-line for some time now, and get 'em delivered to your accomodation, so nothing new there. And not having to have a photo will save money. Nice.

Would be nicer if they bothered to impliment a system as advanced as those that track your progress around the network and provide a print-out on demand. But this is the 3V, after all... they've only just gotten around to hands-free....

And what will the lifties do for a job now??????

Is there any indication yet whether or not Swatch Access will be usable?
