Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hire boots uk

Does anyone know if it is possible to hire ski boots in the UK and then take them with you on holiday. My daughter has very narrow feet and always finds it so difficult to find the right boots when at the ski resort. I know buying her own is the way to go, but financially it's not an option at the moment.

It certainly used to be Edge to Edge used to do it they were based on Crawley industrial estate so convenient if flying out from Gatwick but they have closed down.

However if she is having trouble with hire boots isn't she better of getting them in the resort then due can keep going back to the hire shop to switch them for different ones?

I agree with NickyJ, I'd rather hire in resort, ski, and return for tweaks or replacements there if necessary.

Yes. In my experience even when buying boots it is important after the first day skiing in new boots to be able to return to the shop to have painful spots blown out. The only time this was not true was when I bought boots which were too big.

Not a nice dilemma. But I imagine most resorts will offer a bigger choice of rental boots than anywhere in the UK - even a small resort will have half a dozen shops. Maybe you could get some advice on which boots suit narrow feet (one of my nephews with very narrow feet was ecstatic about a pair of Lange boots I'd bought in a charity shop for £5 rolling eyes). Then telephone around your chosen resort to find places which stock them?

Hi, just a quick note to say that I have a pair of Salomon Scarlets - 85 flex, 98 last, size 24.5 - that are heading for the charity shop. If these are of any use you can have them for the cost of postage.

Salomon boots tend to be wider. Lange, as pam w said, might be worth trying.
