Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Recommendation of ladies ski jacket

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

I wondered if anyone has recommendations for a ladies ski jacket. I am not so fussed on being fashionable but I am looking for something good quality that will do me a good few years. My main thing I want is lots of pockets with lots of space in them. I love stuffing my pockets full of things for the day as I can't be bothered with a back pack. All of the jackets I have looked at recently seem to be fitted without much pocket space. Ventilation zips also a plus.

Thanks

If your really not fussed on fashion and want larger pockets then buy a mens jacket.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks lilywhite - I hadn't actually considered that I just assumed that the proportions would be all wrong.

I have been buying mens for years because I'm so tall. If your slight framed then check out the youth sizes. If a jacket seems too baggy at the waist I belt it. It's easy enough to run a drawstring through the snowskirt too. Very Happy

I've got two jackets, both of which I'd recommend; an Eider Jackson Hole, which is an insulated jacket and a TNF Summit Series Free Freethinker shell. Both are very well made and have enough pockets. They fit very nicely and are quite streamline - the shell has a slightly more athletic fit, but both are classic styles that won't go out of style quickly. FYI - I'm petite, 29 and female!

Google both and see what you think.
