Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Same Holes remount

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Dismounted a binding from a ski last season, neither of which were used since. Would like to remount this setup and wondered if any experience out there with using the same holes? They (the holes) are in good shape as are the screws and I use a pretty hard 2 ply epoxy. I could mount inserts but would like to just do a quick and easy mount of what will effectively be rock hoppers (but at same time don't want a rip out). Binding is NTN which has a 6 hole plate for front mount and effectively no functional rear mount, just a heel lifter.

Any thoughts / warnings?

pm spyderjon but if remounting in same holes with same hardware and you didn't eff them up on extraction don't see why a good woodglue wouldn't suffice as you'll be able to feel if screws are biting as they go in.

Failing that I'll have your NTNs for pennies on the pound if that's alright? wink

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Academic in the end as went with inserts as had more sitting around than I thought (satisfying little job for those who haven't done it)

Gets a bit repititious when you've done over 700 sets Toofy Grin
