Just wondering if anyone has skied Engleberg. If so what was it like, esp the off piste and the variety of terrain, lift q's etc. etc
Looking at going there in mid March so after some info to help make my mind up
Cheers

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Been over Easter once, decent sized queue for the first lift of the day of but non existent after that. The Laub is great fun and big enough to not instantly track out. There is supposedly much harder off piste as well but I didn't ski it. I thought that the pistes were excellent although this was probably largely a factor of the good snow we experienced but the pisted area is quite small, you can cover it all in a day in with ease. We were there for 2 days and that felt like the perfect length of time. A more experienced off piste skier might have been entertained for longer. Didn't ski Bruni as it was closed.

I has been well and truly discovered by the Scandis but it generally gets lots of snow and the lifts give access to some excellent terrain. The Q to get out of the village can be a bit painful but it moves quickly enough. Once you are on the hill Qs aren't too bad, but you have to take telecabines to get to the top of the Titlis so that can slow things down a bit.
I haven't done the Laub (but have looked longingly at it) but have done the Galtiberg (which is one of the best non-extreme runs in the Alps IMV), the Steinberg (very nice indeed but not quite classic status) and lots of stuff off the Jochstock, which is just great off piste terrain

BMG, my mate and his partner went for Xmas/ New Year 2 years ago and very much enjoyed it, I got that it was quite a small area with loads of OP opportunities and that they couldn't give it a thorough pounding because av risk was high but h mentioned the Laub was great. Quite a dark aspect, very cold and icy. Pretty rad scene, lots of free riders there particularly Scandis. Only downside was the queue ing, said the lifts were v busy but that's maybe the time of year, local Swiss resorts are liable to large queues at peak times I believe (Flumserberg, Elm, Braunwald etc). Says he'll go back but it doesn't seem to come up too often so reading between the lines I think it didn't impress that much, but suggest its worth a try.

was there last year.
Can recommend the Galitberg as well
That said, it is very much an advanced place, and not an area to try to learn off-piste on (as I found out)...
1 apresski ski place - yucatan.
We timed our first lift run wrong, as 6 buses full of local ski kids tuned up and had to wait around 40 minutes to get into the first gondola, but there was very few queues after that
