Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Whether I get a new boots for him to try this year (which I'd like to do just to see if his current set (Mondo 24.5) are really too small) or wait until next year, I'd appreciate some pointers on boots makes and models for Minimum_2. I'm trying to get hold of a size 25.5 boot (new or really nice second hand ones), but these also kick in with adult size ranges. However, he is only 10 years and there is only about 6 stone of him., although ability wise he is able to ski the whole mountain and would be on race training next if he fancied it. However, I think I still need to buy something designed for a child/teen as an adult boot will probably be too stiff - yes?

So far we have spent our lives with Salomon performa T2 or T3's which we have been happy with, I wondered if anyone could suggest other makes and boot models that I could search for which would go up to a Mondo 25.5 (UK size 6) would also sound suitable as that might give me a few more hits on Google please? Thanks!

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Megamum, given the speed most kids feet grow at that age, would it not be better to rent boots?

pam w, Not so far - I am well in pocket so far buying them and then selling them second hand on ebay. It doesn't make financial sense for me to do otherwise as I have proved time and again over the last 6 years.

Megamum, I did initially buy (second hand) some kids skis, in a fit of enthusiasm but I've got rid of them and concluded that it's so cheap to rent kids skis and boots (€27 euros for 6 days for the littlies, and €53 for the top junior skis (up to 13 years old), boots included, that I'll just wheel them into the shop. I CBA with ebay - I gave the skis to my son in law to sell. I have more than enough ski-tech work, just with my own and other skis that friends and relations borrow.
