Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Bindings doubt

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the snowboard world (until now I used to ski), I just bought my first board (2nd hand Fanatic Dazed). I have been looking for some bindings and saw ones that I liked, but the problem is that they are Burton P1. I was told that they use 3 hole discs, is there any way to adapt the bindings to my board (I think it is a normal 4 hole board)?

Thanks in advance Smile

4-hole Burton discs are very easy to get hold of, ask in any snowboard shop.

Just be careful the bindings are not EST, which uses a totally different system with no discs.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I believe they are Burton P1.1 SZ Snowboard Bindings, how do I know if they are EST or not?
Can you give me a link to those 4 hole discs?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm really a newbie on this subject.

Thanks Smile

AFGoncalves, dude, seriously, go to any shop or phone any shop, they will sort you out with discs.

If they are EST bindings, the mounting holes will be on the outside of the binding, not in the centre.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

AFGoncalves, not EST. Any board shop will have replacement discs with 4 holes or 2 slots that'll fix it for ya.

Don't some Burton bindings come with both types of disc?

I have sent all of mine to fellow SH boarders with just this problem.

As above, any ski/board shop will be able to help you out.

When I bought Burton Missions they came with discs that had a selection of holes for 3 or 4 hole fixing. Fitted straight onto my 4 hole board with no issues.

Call burton europe directly or email (they are really quick to reply to emails) - the email and number are on their website. They will be able to send you a disc that will fit all boards, including the channel now!! The bolts for the channel are under the foot within the disc, so not sure that they are as solid as having a proper channel binding, but will give you the option for future board upgrades.
