Hi all
this time in five weeks I should be landing into Aspen! It will be our first visit and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on good places to eat?
Thanks.

darbyrw, Plenty of choice, Aspen is unique you'll have a great time.
We had chalet board so only ate out once a week: Hickory House was great if you like ribs http://www.hickoryhouseribs.com/
The lunch on the mountains was tasty and good value.

Lucky you! There's some great restaurants there so definitely no need to put up with the usual american resorts' burger or chilli soup for every meal. They even have restaurants on the piste where you can get table service and wine!
For lunch go to Gwyn's High Alpine in Snowmass and for dinner, if youre into sushi theres the famous matsuhisa and we had a fabulous meal at a french restaurant called Cache Cache - it was 6y ago mind.. maybe check trip advisor for more recent updates..

Hi all,
Long time lurker.
I was lucky enough to be on a season in Colorado and got taken up to Cloud Nine for lunch by the resort man on expenses.
It's very nice and I think you can get Snow Cat dinners up there IIRC.
Aspen is brilliant. Can also vouch for hickory house ribs - I think that is the one we went to that posted Oprah her ribs!
