They said on local radio this morning, in all seriousness, schools across the Thames Valley may be forced to close as up to 2cm of snow is expected. I mean WTF, that is so pathetic it is untrue

Shimmy Alcott, all our offshore team are over the moon with the small amount of snow there is here - they have never seen any before.

Must be about 8-10cm here although seems to have slowed down in the past 15 mins.

Here on the Beds/Bucks border we had some snow overnight, but just a dusting. Been snowing heavily for the last 3.5 hours, which bizarrely seems to have added very little to what was already there - must be wet snow or not quite cold enough.
It's stopped now, although the heaviest is supposed to fall later this afternoon/evening.

keep changing the forecast here. there has been snow, and 1 forecast claims snow for 48 hours starting tomorrow evening, then -10C when I want to go MTBing at the weekend. Other forecast claims no snow and warming up to -4C. Just got new winter MTB gloves to try out

Still snowing here but it's very fine powder and not really doing much at the moment.
Bit disappointing TBH. I was looking forward to some sledging with minime, it will be the closest thing to any snow sports this year

The woman down Tescos was wrong. Maybe an inch and a half by school run time, but it's still coming in pretty floaty specks rather than blizzardy flakes. All rather disappointingly English (or should that be Englishly disappointing), really.

I followed the highway agency warning this morning.
It said anyone travelling in these icy conditions should take a shovel, blanket, sleeping bag, extra clothing including a scarf hat and gloves, 24 hours supply of food and drink, de-icer, torch, tow rope, petrol can, first aid kit and jump leads.
I got a really dirty look off the bus driver.
