Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Carrying boots on the plane - Air France

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
In the past, I have always checked my boots because I hate carrying heavy luggage on the plane. But this time I'm flying Air France cattle class and they have a 1 checked bag only policy. Will there be any issues carry the boots on the plane (I have a hot Hot Gear boot bag)? I assume not because I often see people carrying larger bags but, technically, the bag with the boots probably exceeds the permitted dimensions of a carry on bag.

Anyone have experience with Air France in this regard?

chraya, no experience with air france, but if the bag doesn't fit in the cage (a hot gear bag doesn't) then it is pot luck

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

CEM, is right but i have the atomic hot gear bag also and if you pack carefully the bag can be squeezed into hand luggage size. Though i havent personally tried to take it as hand luggage.

I have a cheap case (TK Max etc) of hand luggage size and the boots fit snugly into it 69 style. I have never been asked what's in it by any airline and security at Gatwick, London City nor Geneva have never shown any interest in it.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Easyjet say no boots in hand luggage but haven't had a problem with boots and helmet in a SnoKart boot and helmet bag on anyone else's flights. (BA, Swiss and Air France that I can remember taking it on)
