Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We've off to ADH at half term, first time we've taken the LO (2.5 yrs). We have him booked in to the new ESF nursery in the mornings but need activities to do as a family in the afternoon. Obviously sledging and snowman building will take up some of the time, but any other suggestions? We will have the car but not overly keen to drive around to much (after major drive there).

Outdoor pool or Indoor pool (they were both free with the Visalp pass a few years back), a few slopes do night sledging (if you get him to kip on the afternoon and pop out for an hour after the evening meal), prob to young for the ice rink but you never know, they do occasionally have english films at the leisure centre but you'll be lucky.

Can't think of much else for one that young, however AdH is one of the better places for off slope activities!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The OH had a photo of step Jnr when he was 2.5yo at the ice rink in AdH, I'm not sure how much skating he actually did though. Bit of sledging/bum boarding, wandering around the town/shops. Trip on a lift up to Pic Blanc?

Nixtoo,

Indoor pool as manicpb, says is a good one, there is a kiddies pool with little slide etc. alongside the main pool. They will lend you armbands, floats etc for free if you want them. There is also a crazy golf course inside the sports centre. The link with the skipass is not quite so simple now, with a six day pass you get one pool session only, and if you want to swim regular you would probably be best getting a weekly pass. The LO will be free though. If you do want to take the LO on the lifts you need to get a pass, it is free but you will have to show his passport at the offices in Bergers or the main office at the top of the town. There is the Ice Cave thingy at the top of the 2nd Troncon (Black Bubbles). You can also take your sledge up the first black bubble any time and come down the marked run which is not normally very busy in the day. Just watch out for skiers and boarders who are "mistakenly" on there though.
