Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Thanks for that link, Gilberts Fridge. I just tend to ski & accept it's there and don't really think about the provenance of the infrastructure, so it was an interesting read and it also surprised me that Rankin was running the area as late as 1992. One thing I'd definitely not appreciate though would be the sight of a ski lift alongside the Spring Run. It's a fact that the East Ridge ski runs are all the more atmospheric because there's a wee hike to get to them and there's no metalwork to be seen when you're in them.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

(Which is a bit of a pain with an ipad) gives you:
Glencoe
Never skied Glencoe, I am sorry to say, and now probably never will. I have many fond memories of scrambling in the area.

Philip Rankin is a Scottish ski legend.
Great history lesson there (I actually provided a couple of scanned photos for the article).
Almost certain however that Philip Rankin retired about 1984...
However he may have remained as a director of White Corrie LTD after.
Peter Weir was the hill manager during the 1980s / 90s.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Certainly agree that everything was pretty much put in the right place from the word go.
The top T, Cliffy chair and plateau Poma are all perfectly fit for purpose and surprisingly efficient.
The Cliffy would be hard to improve on. It is very easy to ride and must be fairly simple to maintain. Any other type of chair would probably introduce all sorts of new problems. Hopefully they should still have plenty of spare parts from the decommissioned access chair which was of the same type I think.
