Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I've skiied on and (mostly) off all my life, but I took a long gap while the children were small. Coming back to skiing after a 10 year break and having never been any good in the first place I was thrilled by how I seemed to improve so quickly when I returned to skiing. I think having to watch over the kids made me forget about my worries and focus on them. I also had to pick the best line and set an example for them. All of which really helped. I also discovered the joy of skiing a slope well, as opposed to just fast!

Cynic and there was me thimking that to turn was to admit defeat!

Claude B, They have done two weeks now and mY days of being able to keep up are looking limited. One of them is definitely at that terrifying stage where confidence, testosterone, and gravity far outweigh any semblance of control and commonsense. I seemed to spend most of the last week hurtling down the slopes in pursuit of aforesaid 10 year old screaming "turn, turn,...TURN...............TUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!"

As others have said, the ski school will do a wee assessment and place you in a suitable group.
