Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi
I've had Oakley L frame OTG goggles for several years now, and the wear and tear is starting to show.
I googled for Oakley OTG and got back the Proven. It's also on
amazon
as ski goggles (for $50), but all the reviews were from bikers - not skiers.
The Proven is listed as discontinued on Oakley's website, so I sent a question to Oakley are these ski goggles, but in return they sent me a link to current models. They didn't answer my question - so I'm looking for help here.

I also use L Frame OTG's . I had hold of a pair of Proven's in an Oakley dealers a couple of winters ago, and they felt cheap and lacking in frame strength. Try and hunt down more L Frames.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks snowbunny.
What caught my eye is the interchangable lenses that should be very convenient in changing light conditions. The L Frame are one colored - Persimmon, which is OK in low, flat light, but not good enough in strong sunshine.
Have you tried the MX L Frame?

?
Are these the same as the "regular" L Frames?
There are replacement lenses for this model:

and I can buy them directly from Oakley for almost peanuts.

, In sunny conditions I stick with the L Frames with Persimmon, and use a pair of specs with reactolite lenses instead. I think you need to get hold of a pair of the MX L Frame and check them over. I've always trashed the frame face foam before needing replacement lenses. The lenses in your link, do look like the right ones though.
