Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just booked Niederau for £250 pp HB in the Hotel Schneeberger.

I wanted to wait until Friday but my mate's bottle crashed.

that's a pretty good deal.

I got it for a similar price for a single room, but that was 6 years ago, and I thought I'd done well.

When I was there, the food was extremely good for the size of hotel, and you are just 5 minutes walk from the gondola, 2 minutes walk from the ski bus to Auffach.

Unfortunately, we had no snow the week I was there, and were being bussed to Kaltenbach in the Zillertal every day, so I can't say much about the skiing there. Sad There was no snow in a lot of Austria that week though - they had to cancel the Hahnenkamm race.

Auffach is good it is 10,000 ft+ so has snow when others in the area do not, has some nice steep reds and top to bottom interest with a small gun barrel to run; however it has the same problem as Mayrhofen in that the queues in the morning can be an hour long if you do not get there very early as everyone drives in for miles. The nursery slope and "first blue" are on the second stage of the gondolas if I remember correctly and it has some ice bars and good little cafes on the hill.
