Hi - just joined this forum
We are two male experienced skiers (ok old’ish) planning a trip 2/3rd week in Jan - probably Italy (poss courmayeur, gressoney, champaluc) but open to suggestions.
Enjoy off-piste - nothing too extreme - and a few beers in the evening - nothing too extreme 
Looking to join or meet up with a few others to ski / socialise with - if not Jan then we will be trying to get away a few more times this season

Gresssoneys and Champoluc: some crackin' skiing, and then you can go over over to Alagna for some great off-piste (especially in January). Good food and wine (ask me for recommendations). I do ski Courma, but for something a bit different and for some long runs I'd recommend Champoluc/Gressoneys (different valleys but connected). I drive to the nearest and ski the rest, and stay sober, to my great disappointment. [Funnily enough the locals don't!].

Italy (as far as I have seen so far) is not too much about the beers!
But it depends who's comany you are in.
Cormayer is great & La Thuile has great skiing ..
I wanna go to the Dolly Mites ...never been ...but you never know this winter I could end up in the Kronplatz.
I have a feeling that this Kronplatz could could work out for me and my extended family

I upload the photo to my account in the Snowheads snowMedia Zone (accessed via the SnowBase icon at the top of this page - you'll have to Register there if you haven't already done so) and once it's uploaded there are preformatted links for thumbnail or medium size image which you can copy and paste directly into your post.

JHB - hi - change of plan and it now looks like we will be in Cervinia on the 5th Jan - so if you (or any other snowhead) - wants to hook up for a beer then that would be nice (will send you a msg) - 1st trip of the season and cant wait  ta John
