Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Boot fitting price Tignes

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

From what I can read on the forum, Nevada Sports comes highly recommended for boot fitting in Tignes. We are going a few guys in january and we all have boots, however some can feel that their aging boots are starting to hurt in the wrong places. They want to go in for a refit, but can't decide if it should be done at home, or if it's better to do it at the resort.

One of the criterias is price, which I can't imagine would be worse down there, but can anyone shed any light on an approx price for a boot refit ?

Thanks
KalleKalle

kallekalle, I think it will depend on what you need doing, I had a shell punch done a couple of weeks ago for 15 euro.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

kallekalle, boot prices will be a little more in resort, euro rate, captive audience etc etc (not massive amount but enough that you would notice) fitting/adjustments is about on a par

+1 for Nevada Sports - top tip make an appointment - he gets very busy. Also his shop is almost ski in so you can ski around pop in and he can actually see where the boot is rubbing, too tight or whatever.

That sounds about right, one of the guys I was skiing with the other week had a bit of tweaking done and it was around that

Alright, thanks for the feedback.
We've decided that we'll wait until where there, for the obvious advantages and hopefully the great service Smile

Also lots of resort fitters include all fitting, punching etc in their ticket price - my favourite in Whistler does.

Yeh Jojo is great at Nevada, but definitely book a fitting. I got boots fitted last season, and wasn't charged for the fitting. Had them blown out then and also had a few tweaks done last week all as part of the price I paid last year.
