Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

St Anton Childcare

As I am unable to source a hotel with space for 2 families and children from 6th Jan, I am looking at simply getting a hotel and hiring childcare separately.

Currently Merrinannies seems the best option but I am of course wondering if anyone has any experience with this in St Anton?

Any help appreciated - my son will be just under a year old so quite young!

hope you find someone suitable. IME a just under one year old is likely to take to a nanny more readily than an 18 month or 2 year old.

Yeah I think the age might be something of a benefit - unfortunately (or fortunately I suppose) we have never used a nanny or care of any kind so it's a bit of a shot in the dark. He isn't clingy though so hopefully all will be well!

fordy11, Mark Warner seem to have space at the Schweizerhof. Have you tried them?

You may well be sorted now or it not be the childcare option for your family fordy11, but Esprit have a number of chalet hotels in St Anton and they have in-house childcare. I've definitely stayed with Esprit in a Chalet hotel with them where Grandparents were also there so they must sell rooms for adults only if it's part of the same party, suspect you'll get hugely stung on the under occupancy though.
