Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi,
We're booked into a hotel in Vercland in Samoens for Jan/Feb.
A couple of questions I haven't been able to answer with google.
Is there a lift pass office in Vercland, or will we need to go into Samoens itself to buy passes?
We were thinking of hiring skis and boots in Tercis Sport 2000 which is in Samoens 1600. So, if we get the lift from Vercland to Samoens 1600, is there any skiing invloved in getting to the hire shop?
Thanks,
Rich

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Jumpin Jack, Yes. No. Your plan is a good one.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Jumpin Jack, I take your point.... Yes there is a lift pass office at the Vercland bubble. No skiing is needed at 1600 to get to the hire shops

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Excellent thanks - as you say my plan will work then - and save us having to go into Samoens.
Looking forward to Samoens - We're there for 4 days over the weekend, and from the reviews I've read it sounds great.

You'll need to Register first of course.

Jumpin Jack, yes the GM is a cracking area. I personally don't like Flaine much, but Les Carroz & Morrilion (sp) are great as is the Samoens skiing itself. The Vercland bubble is the best way to get up there as there have never been queues when I've been there

red 27 - That's what I was hoping - the Vercland bubble is right next to where we're staying.
We'll have to walk into Samoens in the evening, but I'd rather that, than walking to the the lifts!

Jumpin Jack, walking down there is OK - it's a bit of a hike back up the hill... 30 mins I'd say
