Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Visiting Paris? The 3 Valleys plans a 'ski-spectacular' at Galeries Lafayette

From 1 November to 28 February the famous Paris department store Galeries Lafayette is hosting a very unusual event:

The sports department will be turned into 'a Savoy village', according to this report from First Tracks Online.
Quote:
From the entrance in the escalator area, real ski lifts will welcome visitors who will be able to observe typical chalet interiors with their chimneys and wood furniture, and taste traditional dishes.

Every Thursday in November, ski instructors from Les 3 Vallées ski school will turn into models to showcase the latest fashion in ski and outdoor sportswear. They will also give advice to customers and introduce the 2005/2006 ski gear collections.

For the first time ever, customers at Lafayette Sport will be able to discover a digital three-dimensional trail map and take a virtual ride from Courchevel to Mérbel, and from Val Thorens to Les Menuires.

A real ski lift in a department store? I wonder which type?
If anyone's in Paris, please check this out and report back!
