Boredsurfing, Mind you, snow can sometimes get in the way when you want to use the car:

One of my favourite images from the cold snap last year, from Versoix on Lake Geneva, caused by the cold wind blowing lake water over onto the street:

Boredsurfing, it's because you have to dig the out so it's a natural point to show how awesomely deep your day was.

Whitters, something similar happens on the coast (Riviera) a few years ago. Might even be that very year you are relating to. The palm trees were all covered in ice. Impressive.

What is it about a car covered in snow that’s so appealing ?
Soft curves, maybe ?

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Sorry I park mine in an underground car park specifically to avoid it getting covered in snow and freezing! So nice to drive out with clear windows of a snowy morning

Thats just dull, its a man thing getting up in a morning to shovel the drive.

Great thing about the picture of the interior of that car in La Plagne is how little the window is open relative to the amount of snow inside

Whitters, Fabulous photo Whitters, I remember last year seeing something similar (but not as spectacular) on the trees as I was on the train going round the Lake.

Whitters, a couple of years ago i had an email with a whole load of photos of similar stuff, including lots of palm trees, which I always assumed was Lake Geneva. Very sad to say I have now lost the email but there were some brilliant photos.
Have a couple of my own but no idea how to upload a photo to this forum

sanman, open a free account with photobucket or flickr, upload the photos to there, and then click on the 'IMG' link associated with the photo from the account. Copy this into the post on here....and magically it will appear
Swissie, yes, it happens most years, but last year was particularly spectacular. The lakefront in certain places (Versoix and Nyon in particular) is amazing, with huge icicles hanging off cables, trees and boats frozen like ice sculptures and the pavement looks like an ice rink.
