Poster: A snowHead

Dearest, darlingest, snowy-headed hivemind,
I've got a bit of a fetish for Elan skis, and decided to buy a pair of Amphibios. After googling for a while, I found a site offering 20% off, but I don't know for how long.
I'm 5'10" (178cm) and weigh around 11.5st (73kgs), on the inside out ski level scale (http://www.insideoutskiing.com/level.html), I would say I'm an 8, although my girlfriend thinks I'm 6.5.
So it all boils down to two questions, do other 's think this is a good deal, and if so which length would be most appropriate for me, 168cm or 176cm?
Here's the google translate link if you're interested: http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ritosa.si%2Fproduct_info.php%3Fproducts_id%3D1521%257B20%257D556&act=url

I'm your heigh and 3 or 4 kg heavier and if I remember right my Elan speedwaves are 176cm and all my skis (apart from the Icelantic scouts!) are between about 175 and 185 so I'd go with the longer ones.

akisuan, On the insideout scale 6 or 7 ish, don't quite fit their scale as for example icy doesn't phase me in the slightest (learnt at tamworth which is always hardpack going on for icy!) and bumpy and deep is great fun so maybe more than a 6 but to say I can get down most black would be stretching the truth so not fully 7.

Either will do the job, depends on how you ski really. if you prefer long fast carving turns then go for the longer ones
