We have flight to Salzburg on Feb 22 friday ,looking for resort close by for 3 days skiing and Flachau looks promising as Schladming is full up !!
Any info on Flachau would be much appreciated......Cheers !!

Its popular here, one slight word of warning when I tried skiing at that time of year it was stowed out with holidaying Dutch, about the busiest lifts/ slopes that I have encountered. Literally just up the road at FLachauwinkl/Zauchensee was a delight though and you can easily get there from Flachau.

immer schuss, you will most likely need some kind of vehicle as that week counts as one of the highest occupency weeks of the season and any accommodation that has capacity for just 3 days (4 nights?) may well be a bit further out of resort. As T Bar, says, it is one of the Dutch weeks and therefore most if not all the accommodation near the slopes &/or bus routes will be long booked. The apartments in Flachau that I manage have been booked for months for example, some were booked immediately after the client's stay last season.
You could put a request in on the Amade web site and see what turns up. I've found that a good way to find accommodation at short notice. Be prepared to have replies from anywhere in the system regardless of where you limit your request to. Nowhere in the Amade region is further than 2 hours from the airport anyway.

Flachau is good and you can ski more in Zauchensee just down the road.
Also look at Wagrain, Gastein valley (Bad Gastein...).
