Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sports Glasses - Lidl

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm quite new to this forum, and have noticed lots of info about gear from the likes of Aldi and Lidl, but I must get my two penneth worth in here. There are some 'sports glasses' coming into Lidl this Thursday (29th November), which are absolutely top draw. If you are on the lookout for a decent pair of sun glasses to wear on the slopes this season, then look no further. I bought a pair when they were in a couple of months ago, and they are superb. You get 3 pairs of interchangable lenses: blue-mirrored, orange, and smoke, a detachable foam frame to protect against the cold, and best of all, an interchangeable earpiece system, which allows you to use standard sunglasses type frames which go over your ears, or a flexible wide head strap which is just perfect for skiiing/boarding as it fits perfectly under your helmet/winter hat. You also get a hard storage case and a microfibre bag. And all this for just £7.99. A complete and utter steal, trust me. I know there is no fancy brand or label on them which won't suit everybody, but they are the business. They look great and are supremely practical. I am going to buy a 2nd pair in case I break or lose the pair I have already. Worth noting that you will still need goggles for the bad weather, despite these glasses having a removable foam frame. The goggles are in this thursday as well I believe.

Gazza871, thanks, they sound great; might get a pair.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Mate of mine bought some a few years ago. He's happy with them and it's a doddle to change the lenses.

Got them last year, great bit of kit and cheap enough not matter when I loose/break them.

I have them, brilliant and good value.

My other half hates them.

I used them for cycling until I got some lighter, more compact Uvex ones. The Lidl ones are good, just a bit big for my wee face.

Mrs M has them. Apparently they are very good if you like skiing up hills.
