I'm trying to book a holiday weekend in March for myself and thirty friends. We are mostly intermediates with some experts and so would like to find a resort with some challenging reds and lots of bars. I have tried booking a chalet in St.Anton for the weekend but the lady on the other end laughed and put the phone down on me. Why?
Should we maybe be looking at somewhere in Bulgaria instead or is the skiing there likely to be tougher than Austria?

If Apple made Landrovers, then they'd all be white, cost £4.3m a pop and the bonnet would be welded shut.
If Landrover made iPads, they'd be covered in checkerplate steel, weigh 40kg and fall apart when you looked at them.
And either way they'd both spend most of their time parked up at that lovely little indy coffee boutique near the river in Putney where Gemimahhh makes the most divine toffee-nut latte.

I poo-poo thee not but in Bareges about 20 years ago, many of the lifts closed for over an hour for le De'juner.
Garlic chomping surrender monkey Fitzwilliams the lot of them.
(I live part of the year amongst them so I am qualified to comment)

oofaafuu, strangely when I first started skiing lifts did indeed close over lunch time. I hadn't discovered France then so I suppose it was Austria or Italy
