Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Recommendations

I have has a set of Salomon Verse 10 Pilot skiis for the best part of 10 years and although they are still in good condition I think that it may be time to step up a little. Does anyone have any recommendations, that hopefully won't break the bank since I suspect boots need changing this year and they get priority.

As for ability I have been told by instructors that I generally carve my turns down the fall line on red and groomed blacks, get down easy moguls OK but get into a real mess on big moguls after 3 or 4 turns (being really overweight and unfit for many years didn't help) and best not to mention off piste.

I can handle the the rough and cruddy stuff OK but get into a real pickle once it gets thicker and/or towards knee deep. Being too overweight and unfit because of many years in Canada eating North American sized portions meant that on the occasions when I did go off piste and tumble it knackered me getting up again Sad Good news that now lost about a quarter of my body weight and good to let rip on the slopes this year.
